Buggeration

Brigid has been quite unwell for nearly a week, and it seems I may have picked up her bugs, cos I have some sort of flu thing going on: totally tired (or asleep) feverish, high temp, cold feet, aching joints .. gripey tummy etc ..

Dr Adab will not admit me with these symptoms, so my chemo is delayed .. which is really annoying cos my school-pals were due to come up and see me next week, and we've booked a week in Lyme for Easter, both of which will now clash with chemo dates ... ARGH!

Aunty B says so sorry to hear your plans going awry and you are both feeling poorly. I had lots to tell you about my trip but I will save that till next time. Getting busy with housework now - I must be desparate. Love to you both. B

Buggeration indeed. I'd be tempted to use a stronger expletive . London sounded great though. Will certainly check The Souk out at some point. Helen Stanier and I planned to go to Covent Garden on our last trip with the students but 3 of them got lost and we had to spend the time located them in time for the train home.

Susan , gots loads of great books to pass on.Will defo come over if I may after Easter and sorry I haven't been round yet . You are both in my thoughts and I have so much to tell you. It looks like Madeira is go . Hope all works out and you at the very least have some good quality time at Easter and get over these vile bugs.

Thanks Cathy, would love to see you when you have time ... hope you have a great time away ..

our Easter plans will be curtailed now cos of this, but maybe we'll get a few days there anyway .. which might be better in the sense that I will not straight out of chemo when we go ..

There seem to be two branches of the Souk, we went on one and saw the other .both very clsoe ot Covent Garden / Neal's Yard ... .. really reminded me of being in Granada where the Moorish influence is very strong and we had sweet mint tea in little tea houses there a few times!

Hiya,

I don't seem to be great at contributing to this blog. But I am still here taking note.

I am sorry you haven't managed to dodge the lurgy, we here have all had colds for weeks. All getting a bit annoying now.

Your search for the best cake in London seems to have been quite thorough, sounds like you had a rare old laugh.

Don't know when we will be seeing you next, but it doesn't look likely to be this weekend.

love to you both

hello suze, just dropping in to hope you manage a few days, feeling reasonably well, in Lyme over Easter ... this week was a shame, but wishing you and B the very best for next week
