family and friends

Yes indeed I had a lovely time down in Dorset with the family, spent all day with mum and dad on Friday and the weekend mainly with the kids. Joe excelled himself at the County Gym Show by securing a bronze medal in his group for tumbling. Toby is specialising in music and I went to his piano lesson with him and his teacher says he is a "joy to teach". Unusually for me, I never took my camera out if its bag, so no images for these tales .. oops!

I was sorry to hear that two of the regular contributors to the blog have their own major health problems. I hope we can get together soon, Celia, just give us a call and I'll be right over. Big Hugs to "The Big Softy at College" too. (I bet she won't be off-line for long!)

I've been invited to a couple of work socials for Christmas. Does it seem odd to admit that I find the prospect really hard and have declined the invitations? It sort of feels like it's too hard to make small talk after the year I've had, and I CERTAINLY don't want to talk about that! I DO still like seeing colleagues, but as individuals rather than en masse.

People who were worried about my decision to start the ball rolling to get back to work can breath again, I still haven't seen the Occ Health, and I can't do anything official before that, so getting in there before Xmas seems quite unlikely!

well, it wasnt really ANDY was it ?!?!?!?!?

yes it does sound as though tomorrow will be more strangers than old-mates ... and I've not even worked with Sukhraj or Stewart, or this year's three supply teachers! it feels mighty odd!

What a day we were going to go to Bridport on the bus this morning , the trouble was the bus didnt turn up. We waited nearly a hour for it and we got soaked, so we came back home.
I did some ironing to help me warm up.
I know two little boys who cant wait for christmas to come, something to do with watches and a magic book.
It was great seeing you last week just wish it hadnt been so darn wet on Friday.
Bye for now L M xxxxxxx

Susan have you forgot your blog, or have you been doing other exciting things.
It was so frosty this morning we thought we would stay in, then the sun came out so we took a trip on the bus to Weymouth, the sea was calm and it was just like a nice summers day.
Had a snack at Wetherspoons then walked slowly back to the bus, when we got home we fetched T and J from school.
Joe went to gym and Toby stayed for tea then he went to choir practice. Bye for now L M xxxxxx

Hi Sue, Yes it's cousin Pauline here. I'm just catching up on this Blogg a bit.

Hope you are feeling well. I understand how you miss college life when it is your career but you can keep in touch other ways. Your health is far more important & you won't loose your friends.

Christmas is far too close to think about that 'toad' work.

Anyway, lots of love to you & yours + family.

Poe. xx

Yes , the Christmas card was actually from David, although he had put Andy's name in it as couples do. Still seemed strange seeing his name in a Christmas card.

Have you read Human Traces by Sebastian Faulks? Throughly enjoyed it and can pass it on if you like.
