a commonplace thing - living with cancer - one in three of us in the UK will get cancer in their life .. take heart!

New Year's Resolution?
I don't care much for resolutions, but I will continue to try to live with pride and dignity this year. I'm also resolved to learn a bit more about using Photoshop and working on this picture added a couple of new techniques to my repertoire.
It is now nearly a year since my big operation, and 15 months since I last went to work. I've had 20 in-patient hospital visits over the past year, sto say nothing of the clincs, bloodtests and scans, so I DO hope that 2008 will bring less of that and more of the normal stuff.
I owe a massive thank-you to all my family and friends who have been so strong and supportive in 2007. It is much appreciated. I must thank Brigid most of all, I couldn't ask for more.

Resolutions normally concern attempts to live differently, generally in some improbable way. For you, continuing to have pride and dignity is as certain as the sun coming up each day.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well I couldn't have put a true statement better than Mark did above.
My own N.Y. reselutions are just to do a college course somewhere along the line & generally work towards self-improvement.
Just to say now, Happy New Year to you & yours. xxxx
Ooooops! I didn't sign my name above.
Love cousin pauline. xx
You are so sweet, Mark!
lots of love to you all - it was great to see you the other day!

Happy New year to both of you and all your blogers.

Sorry we weren't well enough to meet up over Christmas. Still no where near 100% cough free but getting there. Wishing all the family a happy and fruitful year. LOL Aunty B
thinking of you both, with lots of love Julie
Hi Susan what a nasty wet and grey day, we nipped to Tesco in the car, saw John and the boys. Toby and joe came for lunch bacon cheese and tomato sandwiches their favorite at the moment. They didnt stay to long they had a friend coming this afternoon.
We played countdown a few times and golf on the computer.
Bye for now L M xxxx
I think someone who believes in living each and every day well, as you do suze, has no need for a whole year's resolution in one go.
Proud and dignified is who you are, you can't help it.
Love your Photoshop, you are far too modest about your artistic abilities!
Best wishes for your return to work and all the "normal" stuff. Anne x
Best of luck for tomorrow and a very Happy and Healthy New Year to you both.
My resolution is to meet you this year!
Big hugs, Ruby n Roxy XX
Excellent choice of resolution!
I'd join you but I'm questioning how I'd be able to manage the dignity bit....what with surgeons donning rubber gloves for "examinations". I tend to make inappropriate comments....
My resolution is to get back to work sometime this year then start looking for something else closer to home. Absolutely dreading it!
I've added your link to my page!

Hehe, the dates were very simple - I just named each blog with the date first, I'm going through adding relevant descriptions as and when!
Psssst darrrrrhhlink, I've neglected my blogging duties and hang my delectable bonce in shame. Having re-read the comic sensibilities of your sister and guffawed once more at many a line, its become increasingly apparent that I really rather miss her daily witicisms.
Mwahs aplenty @ Me Julie. Bring back the good ol' blogger days.
*Wonders if she'll ever have a non e-based lifestyle*
Anyways, here's to a new year with new challenges, excitements and post-detox WEDGE SPREADING!
Love you longtime & always.
Sam xx
