home 7

Here we are again, home from the 7th Chemo ...

Don't feel too bad, tho obviously ~I am feeling the usual "sick and tired" .. the sensitivity in my hands is less than it has been and my arm isn't too sore from it all.

Thanks to everyone for all the kind messages you sent on the last post .. it's been a hard couple or three weeks for us, B especially has found it hard to keep going, and I got a bit weepy myself this week .. but hey ho .. things move on ...

it's the weekend!

Mum and dad were up this week, but have set off home now, after gathering me and my big belongings from the hospital this morning. It was very wet!

Hi Both,
Just to say have been following your story and to say how much we are thinking and praying for you both. I know how tough it can be at times and I really admire both of your determination to see this through. We saw D and J last week and they particularly asked to be remembered to you both and to send theit love. Ian.

Hiya,

so the chemo was OK even without the Hickman line? Does that mean there will not be a need to plumb in another? I hope so. Anyway, good to hear the chemo effects haven't been too horrid this time.

Brigid. I have still to sort out anything with Julie. However, I have booked annual leave for 11th Aug to 27th Aug. So at least I have some dates to work around. Not sure whether we will be going abroad for the entire time, if at all.

Your Honda Civic passed its MoT on Tuesday. It's had a major service too, so is going well. Which, of course, is great news.

Luke is also going very well. We just had a parents evening + report and it was all good news. Especially in Science and English.

Speak to you soon.

Happy Birthday Mark, hope you have a good day - it's always a bonus when Birthdays fall at the weekend isn't it.
Sort what out with me? have I missed something? I'l try and reach you by phone today - or you could call me if you are out and about being 'Birthday Boy'

It's been a rough few weeks for you both. I've always prompted the boys to imagine all of our love, and our families love and our friends love around them like a great big cushion. For my part I sort of imagine these cushions reflecting their personalities (and without using any names I imagine one has a tendancy towards the pink and fluffy drama queen end of soft furnishings) Anyway the point is these cushions dont stop painful things happening - but they (like you) are hopefuly supported by it when sadness occurs.

@ Julie - what drama-queen end of the soft furnishings range?!

*tsk*

am liking the metaphor otherwise!
