Drain Pain

Yesterday I was very comfy and able to move freely most of the day.

This morning I woke up feeling pretty good ..did my breathing and walking then the pain got worse and worse in my chest so by breakfast  I couldn't move enough to even EAT (cripes, always a stress) .  ..

The severe/hot stabbing stuff has eased off but it is still tender and I feel nervy/tense  so trying to relax as much as I can.  This leaves me fearful to move and will not be throwing myself into shower or any other vigorous activity in the near future.

The drain is still swinging too much, so  I cannot have it out, need another x-ray and will see surgeon later this afternoon.

Hey ho

Hi Suze
Just read your blog.So sorry you are in pain!Sounds so pathetic, but I do mean it.
I love that walk along Crosby beach, the Anthony Gormley statues are amazing(I live in Liverpool).Interesting that you were a teacher for twenty years,as my daughter has been teaching Biology for about fifteen years and seems to have a similar 'down to earth' and let's deal with it attitude as you.Do hope you get some relief from the pain asap.
Warmest regards
Mimi

I'm wincing even reading about the pain, so I really hope they get that under control for you.

Not being able to EAT? Well I think you know my opinions on that!

I'll be in Manchester tomorrow afternoon, need to get that ridiculous form endorsed and my identity verified. If you're still 'inside' and up for a pop in call circa 3.30-4pm, let me know.

Been following your progress, isn't the interweb wonderful? Sorry to read about your pain today but glad that you've come through the surgery so well.

Hi Sue,
sorry your drain thingy is so sore.
You will probably feel better when its out.
Its 10-45 we did ring B at 9- 30 as arranged but she was more than likely helping you to get into bed, well as it happens you have put a message on your forum.
Im doing the puzzle and Dad was trying to do this blog, but he was having trouble seeing.
His eyes seemed better at the weekend but now they are not so good again today.Love Mum and Dad xxxxxxxx

Hiya -- yes sam, text me to keep up to speed with where I am!

Had a not bad night considering the drain tube was clamped off with two massive scissor type clamps, in the bed with me! LOL

Not too sore yet, and nurse reckons we will sail through today ... bless her!

Mum, yes B was massaging my feet when you called .. oily hands, and also wanting to calm me .. I was fed up cos the surgeon didn't get here so we had to settle for phone consultation, which is never as good! In a way I didn't really mind, if the drain has to stay in, that's that ... except I was very tired and would have got to be sooner rather than waiting for him
