walking

hi - I did a lot of walking yesterday, which was very groovy. This included a visit to the GP then a good stretch around Trentham with Kate and then a walk down to Finney Gardens pub in the afternoon with B (this is why I missed you Po - I tried to call you in the morning, but you were out - and I've got visitors mapped in while I'm in The Nuffied this week).

B and I are thinking of buying a Motor Home .. so traipsing around the UK can be made easier and spontaneous while I am doing this chemo ... to maximise the days off ... Good Idea, eh!

This sunshine inspires that sort of idea, of course, but I've been a happy camper for well over 20 years and only recently got totally fed up of camping in a tent, so the Motor Home thing seems the obvious next step .. hmm!

Would you believe it but theres one for sale at the end of our drive. I've been eying it up whilst in persuit of a new mode of transport. Campers are more than we need to get us between home and Lyme but what an excellent idea for you two. It's 6 thousand pounds and looks oldish to me - is that South prices or do they hold their price everywhere. If it's still here next week we can arrange a viewing!!!

Hi Sue, Poe here. read mess., glad you had nice day. What a great idea to get a Motor Home. What is the saying about, 'if the mountain can't get to Mohammid, then Mohammid has to get to the mountain'?
Where did I get that idea from, I wonder?
Anyway, love to all from cousin Pauline. xx

The legend goes that when the founder of Islam was asked to give proofs of his teaching, he ordered Mount Safa to come to him.

When the mountain did not comply, Mohammed raised his hands toward heaven and said, 'God is merciful. Had it obeyed my words, it would have fallen on us to our destruction. I will therefore go to the mountain and thank God that he has had mercy on a stiff-necked generation.'

Now I never knew that! I thought it meant 'if you can't do it one way, try doing it another way - think laterally.' But no - it seems to have been a powerful man's equivalent of spin.

Talking of going for a spin, Suze, perhaps you and B could hire one? Give it a try before you buy, like.

Hope all is well with you? I have four new members of staff starting tomorrow. Not looking forward to setting a good example; being on time and acting grown up but I'll give it a try!

Lots of love to you two lovelies.

The van that Lynne and Sean had was sold 2 years ago Mum and was an old VW. Cool if you are a beach bum - but not much cop if you want comfort. No this one is a modern design with stand up space in it.

So Sue we will see you on SAT SUN MON at the van. Then out together on Tuesday and then you over to Dorch on Wed. We will be over in the evening of Thursday and with you at the van on Friday. Sounds good to me. If the meal doesn't happen we will come over Friday morning. We await to see what Mum and Dad arrange then.
