Gosh it's nice to be home, and good to catch up on my email and posts in here. It's great to be hearing from my old school pals --- I'm going to root out a photo or two .. hahaha .. that's worried them all!
This time I've not been so nauseous, but my fingers are hyper-sensitive, not only to cold (which I've had before) but touch generally - so this typing is a bit of trial, but it wont stop me .. this side effect is called peripheral neuropathy.
Here's a scanned snap from 30-odd years ago --
I feel I should make an effort to get in touch with Glenda Gayday, does anyone know how to?
In this one you can just see my nana in the window, and alongside us is the famous Grandad Toft, who is oft cited in this blog as an inspiration to me in dealing with cancer.
I can't find a picture of Mandy S at this time ... apart from her wedding one!
Oh well, in for a penny ...

Ahh, I love photos of yesteryear. Good old nostalgia, you can't beat it. You've inspired me to root some of my own out...
Absolutely adore nana in the background!
How old are you there Suze?
we are about 17 I think ..
and do you notice that fabric nana's wearing .. think long and hard b4 you get one of these ugly coloured retro-fabrics -- it was grannies wearing them in the first place!
and .. if you can make out nana's face -- that is the face I increasingly see when I look in the mirror these days - I am morphing into how I remember my nanan looking when I was a kid ...
having looked at the photos I was just about to add a comment about the pull of the genes on my appearance - but you got there first (in both ways hahaha)
haha - you're not that far beind, missis! only two weeks till we see you now -- you'd better watch your step - I'm storing up all the cheeky remarks you've made .... oooh - did you get the Japanese place?
A request has been emailed by John, but given our lively behaviour last time a think an AKA would have been better. They haven't responded yet!!
I shall revert to being a sarcastic free zone then in anticipation of your arrival
hmm -so yoo're going to stop posting?

Hiya Susan
Wow, so many memories in those wonderful old photos.
Caravan holidays were always fun, and are still. Overdue reunions are also good. So we should all be in for a right rare treat in Dorset.

@ Mark - yay.. really looking forward to the next caravan holiday when we'll all be together - a rare treat indeed!!!!
Kasia, this was one of the rare times that Sue was to be seen sitting on the caravan bar rather than in the snug.
