So, the first lot of post-op chemo has been imbibed ...I feel not too bad.
Celia D gets special mention for the flowers she sent in: pinky white tulips and purple anenomes in a beautiful presentation box, which just encapsulated the spirit of Spring. Everyone who came into the room commented on how lovely they were, thanks very much Celia!
Had lots of visits from Brigid, Little Mummy and Big Dad, as well as Liz, Kate, Aunty B and Cliff - I didn't even have time to write any cards which I had thought I would do. I guess I was tired too, seemed to doze quite a lot when I was alone.
It's good to be home . and the sun is shining.

The images don't really do justice to the real thing - but these are the flowers that Celia sent!

That reminds me of a hilarious sketch on Radio 4 we heard as kids, (thanks Dad) it involved three guys sentenced to the lash.
The first guy screams in agony at each lash.
The next is a real big toughie (like you)and after the first lash you hear him calmly say 'That's one' in a deep, rock solid voice. You know that no amount of lashes will hurt him.
The last guy/narrator is asked if he would like anything on his back to ease the pain of the lashes. He replies 'yes, him'.
That third guy remind me of me, and with you behind me I have always felt safe.
So, 'That's one'

Hi Sue, Cousin Poe here. Glad you are home & doing well. When my snivels have gone I'll arrange to visit. I aint on anti-biotics now but as your immune system isn't 100% I'll have to wait till I'm germ free.
Beautiful flowers, by the way.
Love to all. Pauline. xx
Glad the new drug seems to have been imbibed without any problems so far, Tries to post you a welcom home yesterday but the comments site seemed to be playing up. Any requests for supplies etc? Will ring B to see what the visiting regime is like. Luv to you both, keep smiling through! Celia F
