four and counting

Hi
I had a great day yesterday -- got myself up and out to get to an early class at the gym, then went to lunch with Kay and Kate... which was lovely...no prizes for guessing where we went! Later on Mandy came round and we had a splendid evening on our own (B stayed with a pal from work).

I've been for physio again today and I really think it has made a big difference, (@ LM - yes I have got heat pads, I just forget to use them!) I also went for blood tests - but sadly she only took two vials of it, when she should have taken three and I've got to go backnow ... hey ho!

Good news, the stoma nurse has been in touch .. she left a message describing herself as the "specialist nurse" and told me that in general they don't leave messages in case you've not told ppl you're having that treatment .. hmm... I didn't tell her I publish all my medical history on tinternet, she might have found that hard to believe as it seems most of her customers are a little bit more reserved than me ... any rate she is coming to see me tomorrow morning -- hurrah.

Hi Sue, Cousin Poe here. Hope you are feeling positive & ready for the big day. My message got lost or deleted from 'tuther day so I'll try this short limerick & hope you like it.

By Michael Palin

There was an old poacher called Bruce
Whose belt was always too loose.
One day in the town
His trousers fell down,
And out came three cats and a Goose.

Take care. Love to you & yours. Poe x

Hi Sue - Loving thoughts being sent to you. I truly believe that if Grandad coped with 2 stomas you will overcome the one - you have so many similar characteristics. LOL Aunty B.

haha Barb - perhaps best not to enquire too closely into what characteristics me and grandad share!

@ poe - yes I did decide not to print one of your limericks! I'm an English teacher -- I've got to maintain standards!

Grandad, Dad and you - so different and yet soooo similar. Courage, confidence, determination and honesty for starters.

one of my funniest memories of grandad was when they took me on holiday to Ibiza and he stood in front of the mirror and called himself a handsome brute ... that'll be the honesty then -- I do it myself now! Wonder if dad does! LOL
